The McSweeney Arms Hotel is something of a landmark in Killarney. Located right in the heart of one of Ireland's most famous towns, the McSweeney family have enjoyed welcoming guests here for over 50 years. Proud of its long tradition of hospitality and friendliness, Tony and Pauline McSweeney and their team work hard to provide high-quality service and care.

Tony's Sandtrap Bar and Restaurant is the heart of the hotel and enjoys a great reputation for its atmosphere and its food. Hunters Restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday and offers fine cuisine.

The hotel's good location and comfortable accommodation makes it a great base from which to enjoy the delights of Killarney and the magnificent coastline of South-West Ireland.

Restaurants and Bars

Tony’s Sandtrap Bar and Restaurant is the heart of the hotel for guests and locals alike. It has grown in character over the years and is renowned for its warm atmosphere, great food and good company.

The bar is a great place to meet, talk sports or just enjoy the surroundings. With 7 TV screens, all sports are catered for. The bar regularly plays host to a blend of residents, locals and people just passing through. One quiet drink often turns into a great night out!

Full of character, the bar is full of convivial charm and overlooks Killarney's oldest street. When the weather is fine, you can sit out and people-watch, as Killarney goes about its daily business.

Hunters Restaurant serves top cuisine and offers both a table d’hôte and an à la carte menu. Hunters is open from Tuesday to Saturday.

• Parking: Public parking is possible at a location nearby and costs EUR 3.00 per day.

• Children and extra beds: All children are welcome. All children under 8 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
